• Fulbright Award

• Central motif of human figures

• Combines printing and collage, which he calls “printage”

• Controversial May 13 painting

• In 1975 he began to fill his canvases with his signature lines, varying in weight and direction, when his wife, Datin Sim, gave him a set of graphic pens

• Founded the Ibrahim Hussein Museum and Cultural Foundation, Langkawi, in 1998
