• Was the second Malaysian artist to hold a solo exhibition.

• In addition to painting, he also did sculptures and murals, he was commissioned in 1971 by Hotel Royal, Newton Road, Singapore, to produce sculptures of lion and ‘kilin’ ( a mythical creature) as well as nine other abstract murals for their chain of hotels in Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and India
