Art Bali: Beyond the Myths

Art Bali is an upcoming art fair in the Indonesian city.

Curated by Rifky Effendy and Ignatia Nilu, with the theme ‘Beyond the Myths’, the fair is said to “provide an overview of the latest developments in contemporary art in Indonesia.”

The works are said to present how changes in the practice of art are related to socio-political and economic changes in society in Indonesia and globally.

The inaugural edition of the fair will feature works from 39 artists. They are, Adi Panuntun, Agan Harahap, Agung Mangu Putra, Agus Suwage, Arin Dwihartanto Sunaryo, Ashley Bickerton, Chusin Setiadikara, Dipo Andy, Eddi Prabandono, Eko Nugroho, Entang Wiharso, Filippo Sciascia, Galam Zulkifli, Handiwirman Saputra, Heri Dono, I Made Djirna, I Made Wianta, I Made Widya Diputra, I Made Wiguna Valasara, I Nyoman Erawan, I Nyoman Nuarta, I Wayan Upadana, Joko Dwi Avianto, Jompet Kuswidananto, Mella Jaarsma, Nasirun, Nu-Abstract (Agus Saputra, Dewa Ngakan Ardana, Gede Mahendra Yasa, Kemalezedine, Ketut Moniarta, Putu Bonuz), Pande Ketut Taman, Samsul Arifin, Syagini Ratna Wulan ft. Bandu Darmawan, Uji Handoko Eko Saputro, Yani Mariani Sastranegara, Yoka Sara and Yudi Sulistyo.

The fair will launch on Oct 9 at 5pm.
